Google had originally announced Google Wallet in May. The service enables users of phones with the technology installed to physically tap them at a store and complete payments through credit-card firms.
In an effort to make Google Wallet the credit card of the future, the company will include Visa, American Express and Discover in its payment system. With such a payment system on a smartphone, users can make payments in only a few moves, without looking for the credit card in the bag or in the wallet. There are about 135,000 places where payments can be made this way, yet insufficient, but all signs indicate that this will change soon.
It's also required that Google Wallet works on multiple types of phones. Osama Bedier at Google wanted to clarify that the giant is in talks with the most reputed manufacturers of smartphones in order to increase the range of phones that operate Google Wallet.
